Tip: Happy Halloween!

Halloween means neighborhoods full of ballerinas, ninjas, and super heroes running around after dark. Add to the equation copious amounts of sugar and it’s nothing but fun. Take a few extra steps to make sure trick-or-treating is safe too!

– Supervise trick or treating until you’re comfortable letting your child go out alone

– Use reflective tape to ensure other people and drivers see you and carry a flashlight

– Remind kids standard neighborhood rules apply like looking both ways before crossing the street and not talking to strangers

– Only eat pre-packaged treats. If you get homemade treats, separate the ones from people you know from those given by strangers. Throw away the homemade treats from people you don’ t know.

Have a Happy (and safe) Halloween!
