It’s officially August.
Won’t be long before school buses start rattling down rural roads. If they haven’t already! School buses add an additional element to the roads that will soon be bustling with harvest activity.
Provided everything isn’t all shriveled up, anyway.
A few things to keep in mind as you encounter buses on rural roads:
– Where there’s a bus, there are kids. Keep an eye out!
– They go slower and turn wider. Give them space.
– Buses make frequent stops. Be patient.
– Kids have to cross the street. Oncoming traffic must stop.
Bottom line, give buses and bus drivers the same courtesy you’d like when you’re driving equipment around.
Happy back to school!
